I've owned an MR2 Spyder with a B&M short-shifter since 2001 and have loved the driving experience. I'm currently looking to trade the car in for something a bit more practical/luxurious. The G35 seems like a great car, but I do have some concerns about the handling/responsiveness of the car. Clearly, the G35 has plenty of power, but I'm not convinced that I won't be disappointed by the handling of a car that's that much heavier and front-engined? Any experiences making this kind of transition? Upgrades available?

Of course, I could schedule a test drive, but I can't really see the dealer let me push the car too hard...
