Would you guys pay $26,500 for well modded '03 G35 Coupe with 80,000 miles?

Would you guys pay $26,500 for well modded '03 G35 Coupe with 80,000 miles? The reason why I'm asking is because I am at a crossroads. I have had a 1993 RX7 TT for 9+ years that I have modded and it's just getting old and less reliable. Hell, it's never been truly reliable, but it has been an absolute blast to drive and own. I have been "borrowing" my wife's '04 G35x for the last couple months while my car was in pieces in the garage(I was chasing down a coolant leak, but that's a different story) I really enjoy driving the G35.

Anyway, I saw this car ad for a 2003 g35 coupe 6spd "supercharged" 380 hp - $26500. The seller may even be one this board. It has every mod and option that I'd want to to buy/add to a car that I'd want to replace my FD with. Seems like a deal, except for the high miles. I do realize that any car that you modify to make more power will be less reliable than if it were left stock.
I know my way around the garage and I enjoy working on cars. I just don't know what to look for in buying a used G35. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

The car is absolutely in pristine condition. The pictures don't do it justice. All options where profesionally installed. The car has a clean title (in hand) w/80k freeway miles. There is nothing wrong with the car and it runs perfect. The engine is unbeliveably strong with more pull then my freinds awd 2000 Subaru Sti and faster then my brothers 2001 corvette. This car turns heads!!!! Especially with the whistle of the supercharger and the sound of the blow off valve.
My ONLY reason for selling is because I have 4 other cars and Im moving out of state. I need to get rid of some of my toys. It was either going to be the infinity or my 96 tt supra and i've spent way too much time and money on the supra to give it up. There is nothing more that can be done to this car. I have priced it low for a quick sale considering there is more then $20k in upgrades. I understand that the kelly blue book price is $23,000. Keep in mind that its for a bone stock car. If you want the car stock then Ill sell it for 23k but for another 3k ill include the rest of the 20k in parts.

i saw this on craigslist....it seems too good to be true jpandes. I was in awe with this guy's car but I'm guessing it's some kind of shady business. Look out though.

wow. 80k??? i think i have to go with The Bat on this one. i just bought mine last friday; '04 with 20000miles for 24500, so paying more than that for something older and with ALOT more miles doesn't seem like much of a deal to me, i don't care how modded that bad boy is.
Think it over. If that is what's in your price range, then by all means bless yourself with the beauty of The G!!!!!!!! If you can afford to stretch your wallet a liiiiiiittle more, shell out the xtra beans for something newer under the hood. know what i mean?
Good luck, bro!

I wouldn't do it.... Personally for 26K go for a new one or one with less miles and mode it yourself... Oyu never know, he could have blown an engine or whatever.. Moded cars are typically driven pretty hard, and one with 80K on it is a good example...... Go for another one....

yea, be very careful... when i was shopping around for my g, i had some d**k tryin to take my deposit money,, i caught on quickly tho cuz of all the bs he was giving me about being out of town and everything. check thoroughly to make sure this guy's legit,, but i do also agree with what the others are saying about the car being driven hard. not many people buy the g to stay well below the speed limit; and with a SC, mods and 80k miles, im pretty sure this car's been driven hard n long... jus be careful
i have 70k miles and its doing just fine. high miles doesnt mean its been beat around or anything....its probably mostly highway--although with those mods god only knows.

My last trip to the drag strip yielded a 14.1 at 99 mph with a 2.1 60' with around 71k miles.
