Opinions on my quotes for 2006 6MT Coupe

Sorry in advance for the long post. I just finished negotiating by phone/e-mail with a few dealers for an order on a 2006 6MT Coupe. I am ordering because I know exactly what I want: Athens Blue/Graphite, Premium, Aero, Splash Guards, and Trunk Mat. My problem is that there is only one dealer within 50 miles of Pittsburgh. I have been visiting that dealer for about six months and have done a few test drives there. Because they have the local Infiniti monopoly, they feel like they don't have to deal very well, especially on the 6MT coupes. So I solicited quotes from a few dealers in Ohio and Eastern Pa, as well as Grubbs in Texas. Grubbs offered me about $7-800 over invoice on any in-stock coupe. I received fairly similar quotes from the dealers in eastern Pa. I don't think that I will act on any of these because they involve shipping the car, which would cost a couple hundred dollars.

I did receive a quote from an Ohio dealer for $1000 over invoice for an ordered coupe. This is by far the best offer and the one that I took to the Pittsburgh dealer. The Pittsburgh dealer balked at first and said that there was no way they could come even close to that offer. However, today I received a phone call and a quote from them for $1500 over invoice on an ordered coupe. The Pittsburgh dealer also argued that their drop off/pick up service (where they will come to your house to pick up your car for service and leave you with a loaner and then bring your car back when it's finished) is worth the $500 difference. I'm inclined to try to stay in Pittsburgh when purchasing the car in order to avoid any issues with out-of-state licensing. My question to all of you: would you drive 2 hours each way and deal with buying a car out of state for $500? Thanks.

I would calculate the estimated cost in gas, and the amount of time it would take. I wouldnt have an answer of whether I would or not without hte numbers.
Also you would better off to have the final out the door price/details in writing/printed out so that you will not waste your time should the dealer go shady.

Best i got so far was $800 over invoice on an ordered car. For me it seems most dealerships started at 1500 over invoice standard. I got one down to 1000 and another finally offered to beat it after a bit of negotiating.

Are there splash guards on the 06 6mt coupes already? might want to check if there's really such a thing since there was earlier talks of the splashguards from 03-05 not fitting?
