Getting rid of the Evo

So heres the thing I have an 05 evo w\ SSL (sun, sound and leather) w\ 10,200 miles on it. how much you think I could get for it, for private sale vs going to get a trade for an 04 g35.

Also I owe 16800 on the Evo. So lets say the dealership wants to give me 27-28 k for the evo and the G for like 25-26k is it possible that my loan that I will owe would be... 14800???? sounds kind of confusing but I hope you guys know what I mean.

Private sale you should ask at a minimum of what Kelly Blue Book says private sale sould be. I would ask more then work down personally. If You will always get more when you sell a car outright than you will if you trade it in.

I am a car sales man believe me when I tell you that.

But you might make more money trading it in because you get a tax credit on what you trade in.

Lets say if I were to give you 20,000 for your EVO and my G cost 24,000 you would pay taxes on the 4,000 only. So you do have to take that in account.

I do hate to be a bearer of bad new but your EVO is not worth 27-28k. I am looking at a BLACK BOOK right now and 05 EVO's with the S&S pacakge go for 19,990 - 24,200. Granted if you pay FULL STICKER for the G35 then you might get what you are looking for out of the EVO as long as it is clean...really clean.

Where are you located? I sell Mitsubishi's and we are in need of a used EVO. The EVO we have left is the EVO IX MR.

What color is your EVO, I might consider trading you my 04 G35 for it. I want something faster and the Turbo Kit I want is way to expensive.

If you have any question hit me up on my work email address

Is the G you are looking at a sedan or coupe? Auto or manual? How many miles are on it? Sport package...Nav? But 25-26 for the G is not a bad price at all. I paid 26500 for mine 5 months ago and I bought mine from the auction. If you can pick one up that cheap you should pull the trigger. Email me if you need anything.

^-^ WHS

Gunn Infiniti wanted to give me $9800 for my 2001 Chevy 1500 HD crew

I sold it private for $15,000, it took some time, but I did it.

Hey the dealer should give you a decent amount for your evo. They gave me $21k for my 04 evo rs which has a sticker price about 3k less then your ssl. My evo had 12k on it when i traded it in, so you should get a pretty good amount for it.

elamint, when you were talking about the tax credit, were you talking about sales tax? because ther's no income tax involved.

I just traded my 03 Evo GSR with 15K miles for an 03 G35 coupe 6-sp, and the dealership gave me 21K for the Evo, and I got the G35 (with only 12K miles) for 25,800. But I parted out the Evo and paid the difference, and now I'll own the G (I am literally picking it up Saturday) straight up (since I didn't owe anything on the Evo). I dunno - that worked for me. But I also have been detailing cars and wrenching on em for years, and for an 03, it was in immaculate condition. My 2 cents. Good luck with it, dude

I have a 04 w/ SSL ; 16,500 miles on it; which unfortunately was totalled last weekend. Insurance will be giving me a check pretty soon (the car was paid off) ; and I will be picking up a base 06 g35 coupe. I am wondering how much they will give me for the evo? I know that insurance amount is slightly different than what you would get for a trade in...anyone have any ideas?
