Navi without premium package?

Thanks for the quick replies guys....I actually just want a base g35 auto; bare as can be. But the one thing I would want is the navigation. I just don't see how the premium would be necessary in order to get the navi. But if that is how it is; looks like I will have to get a double DIN aftermarket unit. Reason I want a base w/ no options is because I have around 29k to put down on the vehicle; and I want the vehicle close to paid off. I will be able to purchase before TTL at around 30k. (base auto) Thanks guys.

Infiniti adds the navigation system on the assembly line, since it is so tightly integrated into various systems in the car. It isn't a "plug-n-play" part.
They could, if they wanted to, offer the car with navigation but without the premium, but I'm guessing it was a pricing / offering decision not to do so.
Also, you won't have much luck getting a stock navigation system installed after the fact... many, many posters here seem to agree that it isn't worth the time and money. Good luck!
