Where are you located? and you could prolly do better... go toward the end of the month.... what happens is that many times dealers have to meet quotas... but since they cant force ppl to buy cars, they could give them very good deals. if they dont make commission on a car its really no big deal(the will try really really really hard tho), as long as they meet their quota they could recieve an individual bonus(for example 10 cars in 1 week they get like an extra Grand)... and they could also recieve a dealership bonus(150 cars a month the corprate section of infiniti recognizes it and gives them an award and some cash).... your best bet is to go to a dealer that moves many cars.... and try going at the end of the month... some ppl will say this isnt tru.... buhh i've heard this from the horse's mouth.... btw if u wanna buy one u will get a lot bigger break on the 05's.... and yeah get tha six speed!

called four different dealers, and got a price range of 36,000 to 38,000 i don't know the ins and outs of why dealers will or will not negotiate. two were very close on the low range (passport infiniti and infiniti of annapolis) went to the latter and told them to give me a reason to buy there. tax here is 5% and the bottom line ended up being $37,492.67. maybe taxes on year end stock is a motivating factor, but i thought i could not do much better than that.

remember on thing tho, if you get a good deal on the car, they will get you back on the financing-if thats what your doing. As many other said, they are 2 crooks that work in the same building. I got my 06 at invoice and the financing guy was trying to pull some game on me and I went ahead and got my own bank loan at my bank. In the end they aint get **** from me.
They got me at 13% and told me to take it home without signing anything yet til the next day ( thinking that I like the car soo much that I WILL pay at any cost) - WRONG ! The next day I went back with a cashier check and Im sure the financing guy was on fire knowing he lost his commision and try to beat my rate ( 8.8 %, My credit is not good) . I still said no.

The other tactics that dealer did to my brother was, gave him a good APR then asked him to come back the next few days because they couldnt honor that low apr and had to get a higher apr. My bro told them to take the car back. which they didnt- bunch of jerks. I hate dealers period, I just had to buy from them because they have NEW cars.

That is cheap. I'm assuming you're getting roughly 36g on the car (I believe that's invoice) and about 1g for the tax and tags ... is that correct?

How much are registration and tags usually guys for Southern Cali?

Thanks again for the quick responses ... reallly help me a bunch!! If you guys have anymore input, put them on. The more the merrier!

Please ppl lets be real here, the inovice of that car is 36722 with 8.25% sales tax which is 39755 plus 350 for tags you end up with 40105, how many you guys think any dealer is going to sell it 3k BELOW inovice? ...now of cousre it might be possible, if you knew somebody who owns a dealership, but it def, not a norm.

I think the invoice is about $36,664. I saw this today at a local so cal infiniti dealer. Edmunds states about the same.

That was for a 6mt w/ premium and navi. So yours should be about 37,600. if you consider this, tax and license and delivery costs to you are 2,400 if you get it at 40K. Sounds about right. They're probably making ~500 off you if not a little more.

SuperacerG, that's really is a killer deal. i would buy it and have it shipped cross country for that price!!!

invoice price is not what a dealer pays for a car. the industry has many ways of making people feel they are getting a good deal...people think they get one over on a dealership if they demand to pay invoice and get it. customer feels good about the deal and the dealership still makes a profit. pushed to the limit, many dealers offer cars under invoice, but this is not the case for desirable cars. the law of supply and demand dictates that if many people want the same car and quantities of such are limited, dealers don't have to bargain with you. however, extenuating circumstances (such as monthly quotas, overstock, new year model intro., etc) can work in your favor

^ invoice is what the dealer expect to sell at in order to make a profit. anything over that is bonus/extra. theres the dealer incentives which is about 2-3% for the salesman.

Best time to buy is on a slow day , tuesday wednesday. This is when they concentrate on you more and not worry about losing a sell because theres other customer waiting around.

Hey Thinhvo
I just made the deal on mine last week. The options i got were.
..for 5AT
1) Premium Package
2) Sports Tuned package
3) Navigation System
4) Sattellite radio
5) 19'' Chrome wheels
The Invoice on this package is 37,074. without Chrome wheels

Final haggled Invoice Price WITH chrome wheels - $ 37,700/-
.. WITH ... ALL of the above options..

The Chrome wheels come to around $1000. So basically i paid about 400$ below invoice. I think i could have done better. But this was the 4 th dealer and i had used other dealer quotes to play aganist the final dealer.

I think what you have is a pretty good deal.
