New guy here :)

Hey guys and gals I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. Ive been looking at a few G35 forums and this one is hands down the best one out there. As you can tell from my screename, Im coming from a EVO8 and I am in the market for a G35 Coupe. I dont have one yet but tomorrow the EVO should be sold and after that ill be looking for a new car.

Ive noticed alot of people coming from the EVO community to the G35 community. I love my EVO, it has been one of my favorite cars that I have ever owned but its time for me to step away from strictly performance and get into Luxury and Comfort and not as much performance.

This appears to be a good site and I think that I will learn alot from all of you here and hopefully I can help others in the process too. Here is a few pics of my baby that will be gone tomorrow:

These pics are a little old but they are the only ones I have that are good. The car looks identical to those pics above except the car now has a set of JDM haedlights on it (blacked out headlight housings).

Cool! Welcome aboard! This definitely is a great site for learning all kinds of stuff about the G. Make sure you post pics of your new ride.

Your my solid case in point that everyone wants what they dont have. I actually was thinking about selling my G for an Evo or STI becuase of the performance factor. And you have the evo but want a G35 for the blend of luxury and performnce (nothing compared to a modified evo though). Why do people always want what they dont have, it haunts me!

Welcome E2G

The G35c is a awsome frickn car, I love mine and I have had zero problems in the 53K miles I have on my 04'. It is a good thing you do understand that this car will not be the fastest car on the road, it does get alot of looks and people breaking their necks o look at it drive by tho

Another car that you could look at as well if you are comparison shopping is the 06' BMW 330i E90. I just bought my wife one in Nov for her B-Day and I tell ya what, that car is one of the BEST handeling cars I have ever had the pleasure of driving as well.

Good luck with the sale of your EVO and enjoy your stay here.

Hey...

I also recently sold my WW 2005 Evo MR... and just got a 2006 G35c 6mt 9 days ago. There is a HUGE difference between the two cars... but looking at a total package I think that the G was the right choice (at least for me).

Since I had the MR... I had no leather, no sunroof, and a crappy radio... now in the G, with the premium package, I have a sunroof, beautiful black leather and a crappy radio .

I am still in the break in process for the car and haven't pushed it at all. But I can tell you there is a TON more torque with this car... and the power delivery is much more smooth than I was used to. With the windows up the car is amazingly quiet, and with them down the exhaust note is SWEET.

Leaving the Evo is a hard choice, because there aren't many equaly performers in the price range... but if you want to sacrifice some of the performance to gain a BUTT LOAD of class.... this is the right car to choose.

Welcome to the forum!
Tim
