Audio Shopping in T.O...

Hey Guys,

I need a litle help from you.

I'm looking at putting a system in my sedan and I'm looking for a reputible audio shop to deal with around the T.O area( Markham, Miss are ok too).

I have delt with KHF a few years ago to have an alarm installed. They were very good to deal with. ( I hear that they are $$$ but quality is excellent).

I've heard of 20Hz and Chase Audio but do not know of anyone that has delt with them.

Could someone chime in an reccomend a place for me.

I would like to base a system around a 5 channel amp( Zapco or Memphis).

Thanks for your help.

B.

I had my first system ever installed on my 91 Beretta GTZ back in 91 by Chase. At that point he was working out of the garage in his backyard, so I can only hope things have improved in the last 15 years. He was a "butcher" back then.

Again I stress, stay away from KHF\Kensai Racing. That shop is a nightmare. If you only knew what goes on behind the scenes at that place.

Mind you it could be like that at other places as well, but I know one thing for sure, I am never setting foot in their doorway ever again.

I've personally dealt with KHF on most of my cars. So far my experience has been good. But, it seems some others were not as fortunate with their experiences. 35Bills, they are moving if not moved already to Esna Park area. As for $$$, do your research with a few shops and you should end up ok. I bought all my equipment elsewhere except the head unit and they did all the install.

I was thinking of doing the same if it doesn't work out as to getting components that I have my eyes and ears set upon.

Yes, I just read that they have moved north. Thats ok, its closer for me anyways.

Thanks for the feedback...

Any one heard of TREO subs???

ive dealt with sls and theyre pretty good, they sell alpine and eclipse. they did my whole system and alarm and i had no problems. Two other good shops are audio to go on dundas a little east of dixie and in the same area ultra auto sound. The guy at ultra does good installs, they sell boston acoustics, alpine, jl mb quartz. Never had any installs done at audio to go, but he sells alot of high end stuff and if you talk to paul hell give you a good deal and they have alot of memphis, focal, audison and i think zapco

35bills,

What type of install? Are we talking about a deck and speakers, amp..

or are we looking at a custom audio job (sorta along the lines of competition style)?

Nothing fancy. Really just looking for equipment right now.
I just want a solid installation done without headaches, and good SQ. I'm not looking to put a boomer system in my sedan.

I'm looking for Zapco( I'm not sure they have any dealers in the area) for an amp. If I can't find them maybe I'll try Memphis for an amp.

Bill
