Thumbs up G is back home

Just picked up my car from the body shop this afternoon. It has to go back for a few parts behind the bumper that were back ordered- one small cushion and one piece of metal rebar. The clear bra has to be out on in another week or so after the bumer paint cures. It also needs a minor adjustment on the hood I noticed when I got home but overall a great job.

Love the new '06 sport bumper and my painted mirror extensions. Will post up some pics perhaps tomorrow.

The week after next I should have the tint done and a full blown job on the paint shine.

Sounds great Deane...
I'll bet it looks great to have it back in one piece.
Great choice with the sport bumper

Thanks Ian.

The Nismo I wanted was going to be about $600 extra out of my pocket with purchase, shipping and body shop labour to make it fit right (based on other experiences). I just couldn't live with that so the '06 bumper made sense at no extra cost to me.

BTW, the flaws you noticed on the rear quarter panel are virtually gone now too.

That must be why they're on the wear bars now just turning over 16k.

I've got to get some new tires before or during this trip.

Excellent Deane, It sounds sweet. That's got to be hard with the down time like that, but it sounds like the end result is nice. Looking forward to pics.
Wish I could see the red beauty in person .
Hehe.... Shane still is lovin the smokin tires

Thanks Wayne.
No problem on the downtime since it's not really my daily driver and I had a Ford Freestyle as a loaner to fill the void.

Shane might get a real chance later this summer but it'll have to be before I change tires.

Nice to hear you've got your baby back, Deane.. I'll bet she looks pristine again.
Can't wait to see the pics of the new bumper.

The body shop suggested I wait until after the track since it was dicey they would finish the job in time. The owner also said he had numerous cars in there with major body repairs after attending the track, with the biggest bill being $20,000 on an M3.

You're right life is good and may get a whole lot better with a major deal I am exploring and a response I am expecting from a former employer

Shane, are you going to the Adirondacks with us?

Deane

Sounds like it's a done deal for you Shane. Should I tell Mike Botchett you're coming to see him?

Absolutely, just gotta wait for the 07s to arrive and I will be making the drive down your way! I am getting really anxious to see the available colors on the new Sedans. I am really hoping there is a nice red available. No more black for me.
