Was coming home from Toronto last night and had the car at 115km/h in cruise control. Twice during the trip, the cruise shut itself off - just as though I had tapped the brakes or pressed the cancel switch. I know that I hadn't done either and the cancel switch seemed fine (ie: didn't seem partially stuck).

Has anyone heard of this? The car seemed to run perfectly outside of those incidents.

My cruise control quit on me also. I can't remember exactly what was replaced by I remember the tech saying it was a cheap plastic part that went. Tehy ordered it in, installed and it's been fine since.

Thanks for the input. I'm heading to NYC this coming weekend and it would be nice to know that the cruise will be functioning for the trip.

Never used cruise as much in my other cars, kinda confused as to why that would be but it certainly is nice on the highway drives.

When you had the problem with yours, did it quit all together and never functioned until replacement, or were you able to get it going again? Mine would let me set it again and then about 10 minutes later, it stopped working again.

 

No it just quit and would not work for the 10 days or so until I had it repaired.

I rarely use it anyhow but figured since it was warranty I wanted it working.
