How much did you pay for the Coupe?
How much did you pay for the Coupe?
I'm in Calgary, AB. I don't own own (yet), but sure am interested in your best "out the door". Does anyone know what the Invoice is on the coupe? Are you guys finding it hard or difficult to negotiate for a good deal?
Thanks for any help.

Hey Nabzif:....Mine, like 99atlantic's, was about MSRP--- $49,400 CND for the same car- . I have found Infiniti Canada's web site very useful for all kinds of info: --www.infiniti.ca-- . It's now up to date and quite comprehensive.
As far as the dickering goes , there wasn't any. All I got with my Sedan when I bought it last June was paint protection. Nothing more than a 'wax' job which they sell for $400.
On the Coupe last week, all I got was splash guards: ( when they come in.). The jury's still out on whether they'll look good or not. Not sure what the invoice was on mine, I'd hazzard a guess at about $46-47k. Save hard , It'll be worth it.

Re: How much did you pay for the Coupe?
I always get the invoice price for the car I want to buy before I went to the dealer. Unlike US, we have to pay to get that information in Canada. There are some hotlines you can call or you can get it from carcost.ca, the price is around $25/quote for one model in one configuration, so I always get the fully loaded one as it will break down all the costs from base with every options.
Usually, it is $25 well spent as it did save me a few bucks for my G sedan and some other cars my relatives bought, but in this case, since it's such a hot item, I doubt it'll help you that much to get the price down.

I am sorry, I didn't give the correct ( full ) URL, it's www.carcostcanada.com
I hope you mean an M5 as in BMW
M45 from Infiniti is just OK in my opinion. Not too found of the styling.
Cheers

$140 for an quote on the dealer invoice? Ah...that's such a rip off man...where you got that from? Do you live in Toronto area?
I think for like $50 ( a premium membership from that site), they will even negotiate the price on your behalf with dealers close in your area. It's pretty good for some guys that don't need the hastle and doesn't like the process of negotiating. A colleague of mine did that for his dad's Acura, and end up getting like $500 above invoice in less then 20mins over the phone. Not bad at all.

Re: How much did you pay for the Coupe?
I don't remember exactly as I got that quote from a hotline ( a guy called Mohamed, who hosts an autoshow every Sunday night on CityPulse24 station) way back in last March and wrote it down a piece of paper, but I do recall the ball park figure:
For the base, MSRP was at $38,900, the invoice price was at little less then $36K. With Premium package added that brings the total MSRP to then $41,500, the invoice price was less then $38K. I remember that the dealer had about $4K profit margin for the model with Premium package, and at the time, the best I could do was to persuade him to cut the profit in half, allow me to take $2K off. Well, it was a tough bargain and I had to kinda neogiate 3 times for various excuses, to the point that the GM basically told me that he would be very happy to refund my deposite so I could go shop elsewhere:P So I eventually settled for $1,800 off the sticker, which I still think is a decent deal. Also, when I talked to the dealer about what I considered to be their profit, was everything beside the invoice cost and all the government taxes. I consider itemized charge such as Document Fees ( around $125 ) as their profit as well, they can list it there if they want, it just means that instead of getting $1800 off, I got $1925 off
After I bought the G, I then discover that site, which I used to help my in-laws to shop for their cars last fall. Knowing the invoice price sure helped a lot in saving time as you basically can tell the guy to cut to the chase.

Re: How much did you pay for the Coupe?
One more thing, the hotline and the website costs pretty much the same. Except for the hotline, I got to talk to that Mohamed guy, who at the time, told me that if I could get anything around $500 off the sticker price for the G35, I should be laughing and signed the contract right away
