^ there is one more very disgusting photo to go along with this. Due to it's size I was unable to uplaod it. It is the carcass of a man the grizzly had partly devoured.

Yup, pretty rough pics. I used to send them to a couple coworkers who had weak stomaches right before lunch

^^ +1

I honestly never understood why hunting is considered a sport. Put a rifle in the bear's hands.....then it would be a sport.

I think hunting is necessary for food, whether you are in the woods or in the meat section at the grocery store, but trophy hunting is kind of silly. Guided trophy hunting is even more pathetic. And I don't see the sport in it either.

That said, at least this guy was using a crossbow which has an effective hunting range of about 60 yards (give or take). Elephants can close that distance remarkably fast. This had to be an amazing shot:

Yeah, I agree it is necesary for food......and I also agree that trophy hunting is rather pathetic. I guess I am too much of an animal person to go out and kill an animal for the heck of it. I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Has anyone ever seen videos of seals getting clubbed over the head? Man, that is just plain sad. I don't know how anyone could bring themselves to do that. Like I said, I guess I am just a big animal lover in general.

Btw Deane, sorry for hijacking your thread.
