netcbc, glad it worked out for you...

I would suggest starting a new thread with your questions....
so that we can get back on the original topic of 888's new ride.

I can't really hear the g35c when I test drove it in the cabin, i'm hoping it sounds like the ones i see on the road unless those are modded with a z-tube or intake..

i really want to know how a stock g35c sounds past 4000 rpm.. while driving it it's not as loud as i thought it'd be inside..

does the z-tube do wonders for this? i like the unique sounds of the exhaust tone, i dont want it to change much just louder and possibily a little deeper.. that's about it.

You were just babying it too much on the test drive
Don't worry, you'll get some nice music when you get on it

The Z tube does add a little intake noise, since it eliminates a baffle chamber.
Most CAI add more noise, especially at WOT..... don't expect much in actual performance gain though.

You need to get a Tenzo-R or APC short ram intake kit. You can also do the sound-deadening-removal mod that's very popular. You need to remove the interior, then strip the sound-deadening tar at the firewall and floor - dry ice works really well. For that deep and loud exhaust note, remove your cat (no, don't replace it with anything, just remove it).

It's because you're not smooth enough through 5abc to carry your speed.
