oh i'm a newb too, my first week with manual was such frustration, i was doubting if getting manual was a good idea, now i've gotten quite use to it and it's totally fun... but if you're rush hour everyday, that really sucks

Even my fiancee learned to drive a manual within a week...I guess 888 drives worse than a girl.

I'll trade you my 03.5 AUTO Sedan for it. I would love a 6 speed.
Couldn't pass up the retarded deal I got on the auto though.
Next is a 6 speed!

just give it a month, you will get used to it...the clutch is pretty tough on these cars not to mention on the brand new ones. I learned how to drive a car in manual and I still hated my the clutch on this car for like a month. after that I got used to it.

if you don't wanna do that, then as somebody suggested do a swap with an auto. I am sure they will arrange something.

I've taken lessons before this, i didnt just pick up the car and learned off the spot.

I took a few lessons - and drove my cousin's car for a bit.

Granted i'm not the great at it, but im not grinding gears or burning the clutch

If you really have your heart set on an auto, you should go back to the dealership and talk to them about getting an auto. A lot of dealerships want to keep you happy for repeat business but don't count on getting a deal on the new one if you are giving the stick back.
You will take it in the cooler if you try to sell private, if you try to sell it for 57k someone will have to pay about another 4k in tax. Also, cars depreciate 20% when you drive them off the lot. If you are going to go back to the dealership, do it soon or you will be SOL.
Imo you should stick with it (no pun intended), once you get used to the stick and the clutch gets worked in you will probably love and won't want to go back to an auto. (The traffic thing does kind of suck, thats the good thing about living in Kingston. Also, not many G's)

are you planning on using this car during the winter? if not, then just get a winter beater and use the G during summer times. at least, you will not "suffer" during the winter time. in fact, many people do this.

if that dealer said no, you can try other dealers. they might take your coupe and give you an auto but don't expect a deal.

I'm thinking of just trading it in for an audi, this car is too impractical for me, i love it don't get me wrong, I dont know what i was thinking, for the longest time i wanted a G, about 1.5 years back i started really liking it, but now.. i dont know perhaps because of different lifestyle - it's just not suited for me. What a wrong move I made this time around, probably the stupidest one by far.

I am speechless

PS I taught my wife to drive a manual car i 3 hrs!!! I m sure you can get used to it even with the rush hour traffic.

Good Luck!!!
