So the Sport gets LSD and AWD doesn't? I'd get RWD in a heartbeat and put some Blizzacks on it in the winter. LSD alone is worth going Sport.

I'm inclined to agree with Eric......Sport all the way with Graphite. (and I love that red.....it's just like my Apollo Red other car. )

Aftermarket XM and Garmin would seem to fit the bill.

I'm sure you'll love it, Shane, and perhaps that'll mean keeping the QX for those 'nasty' months.

I have a few dilemmas that maybe some of you can provide some input on.

1. AWD vs. Sport model. I was really looking forward to having the paddle shifters, however they are only available on the sport model. The sport model also includes side sills, rear spoiler and sport front fascia. I am also thinking that I would like to have AWD as keeping my QX4 is up in the air at the moment. Right now, I would say that I am leaning towards the G35x.
Sport for me. Having the 6 speed, the LSD and different wheels and tires is key. You know how the rear drive works and now you'll have LSD too.

I wasn't planning on getting Navi because I would rather have a Garmin. If I don't get the Navi, I can't get XM either and then I would be stuck having two external devices on the dash.
Save the dough on the factory nav and get a Garmin or similiar as well as some aftermarket XM if an OE one can't be installed.

Thanks for your input.
That exterior colour is very nice. Wow.
I like the light interior but with the baby on the way it's likely going to be more prone to staining so the graphite may be more practical.

I agree with all the guys. I'm not a huge fan of light interiors, so Graphite would be better. RWD all the way, you get so much more with the RWD. It basically comes down to, are you looking for more comfort or performance? IMO, I would still pick the RWD!

As for the Navigation system, save your money, get the aftermarket stuff!

You are the expert on this subject Deane......if something is spilled (lets say dark cola) on the wheat interior....how difficult would it be to remove all remenants of the cola???? Is there any leather protector that reduces stains?

I'm not really that much of an expert on the leather side although i do know the basics of how to repair cracks/tears and redye it.

Leather overall is fairly resistant to many products like coffee cola etc but some of it depends on how long it sets in. If it is damp mopped soon after you should have no issue. On the protection side there are likely some products available like that for shoes although that is not part of my arsenal. Perhaps someone like Kevin would know.

Okay, update on the situation. After having a lengthy talk with the wife, it looks like the G35 Sport is a go! It is not carved in stone yet with the wife yet....but looking good. She was initially interested in the X for the safety factor because of the newborn on the way...which I cannot argue one bit.

The color is a certain.....Garnet Ember it is. She is leaning towards Wheat interior and I am leaning towards Graphite interior. If my wife is willing to compromise on the sport model, I am willing to compromise on the Graphite interior.

Sounds like a good solution Shane

BTW... enjoy this one for a while;
