Ultimate Driving Experience
Took a one day Advanced II course on Sunday at Downsview..right beside where I work at lol...
Impressions:
- Learnt some more vechile dynamics in understeer / oversteer and how to correct them
- Learnt to correct some of my very bad driving habits that everyone processes...
Fun part:
-Got to drive hard and slalom with the new E90 330i..and man, they really control like the "ultimate driving machine" lol... I wish my G come like this stock... the control is so stable and confident
-The E46 M3...didn't get to drive that, but see the instructors doing slalom with them, and well..they are really fast, but very raspy at the same time; the E90 330i has a nice and deep growl
-Even tho it is a bit pricey, but I would say it is 100% worth it.... I would very likely do the next level next year

Oh!! I am planning to do the Perfection whenever it is offered, since I believe it is only offered annually.
Even though I do agree that the Adv II is a bit too basic for some of us, but it is still worthwhile to go thru the process of mastering the basics....
Even till now, when I have to correct for oversteer, I can ONLY use one hand "to wax" the steering wheel... I cannot move my hands fast enough to correct the oversteer with the 9&3 o'clock gripping position.
Anyhow, I was really amazed with the 330i, but they are VERY SMALL inside....

- how do you control the steering wheel... try to use both hands instead of the gangster one hand grip
- Seating position, seat close s.t. when you fully extend your left arm, your wrist should rest on the steering wheel, as opposed to "lounging" that most people do
- Look where you want to go (solution), but not the problem.. statistically, most people crash into stationary objects like light poles because those were the last things that they were looking at
- In emergency situation, brake first and then steer; steer first then brake.. doing both at the same time never help
etc etc
but the 4 above should be the most important ones
