I know I wouldn't be able to do any justice to that kind of car but would probably scare the **** out of myself in any case.

A friend of mine (professor at RMC Kingston) took the entire program offered by BMW over the past year and a bit, including the winter driving. He owns an '05 M3 and an '05 Cooper S, and for his wife's daily driver, they're now patiently awaiting a 335i Coupe. According to him, the courses were awesome, and he and his wife were treated like royalty. For the winter course, for example, top shelf accomodations and dinner were included. Cost of admission appears steep, but all considered (especially the abuse inflicted upon someone else's car rather than your own), the program represents pretty good value.
Ref the heel and toe, anything will do (not necessarily your actual heel and toe). [The G's pedal positions are perfection]. For example, the outside instep of your right foot on the gas and the big toe or ball of the foot on the brake will suffice. Prepositioning your leg against the tunnel will facilitate, and you needn't contort your leg into a knee wrenching mess.
Cheers,
D
