ipod for 2006 G35x in Canada
Anyone know what would be a good ipod set up in the 2006 G35x? I heard the FM transmitters are bad because of statics, but it requires no taking apart of the dash. I'm just afraid of rattles and not being able to fix it under warranty once I've taken it apart. Unless I get it done at the dealer before I take delivery of my car - then what would be a good hook up?
yea dont get the fm transmitter, i have one, and there is alot of static, and the sound quality is quite horrible. just a heads up, not sure about the hook up though
i have a 60GB iPod with Video brand new in the box that i'm selling for 400 cash (CDN).
the FM thing apparently sucks - my Mac/Apple guy suggested that i use the cassette adapter (which i've used before on another audio/video player) and it works great - plus then you get to use the steering wheel audio controls.
i think the cassette unit for the ipod is about 35. my contact for that is in aurora.
good luck,
mike

I just got my USA Spec PA11–NIS convertor, which gives you iPod and AUX inputs that directly interface the stock HU.

I'll check in the Audio section though.
