Fantastic meet everyone . Kevin, once again you wowed us with your majic touch and expertise with car detailing.
It was great to meet a lot of new people and get together with past acquaintances.

Sam are you after Kevin's job ? You were unstoppable with that PC and the spritzer during most of the meet, you only took time to grab a quick piece of pizza, and to buy a van-load of white socks . Your BO Coupe has went through an amazing transformation, looking real good.

Anyways great day thanks to all who organized it.

The meet was fun! Thanks to everyone that made it possible, and everyone who attended! I personally learned a lot about taking care of my car. Most of all though, I learned how much to fear rock chips ... clear bra is going on soon I think.

Here are some pics I snapped. I have more but I got tired of resizing them. If anyone wants larger copies (2592x1944) just let me know.

(the black coupe is mine )

Thanks for bringing your PC Wayne. I wouldn't have found out how managable it is, or gotten the chance to learn how to use it.
Hey Matt, great colour pop and wash job. Hope it wasn't too dirty by the time you ot her back home.
What I love about our detailing meets is how much you can learn from everyone. Also thanks Kevin and Colin, you both helped me to better understand how to pamper the G and at the same time relax. Now I can enjoy time spent while the G is in motion and standing still.

Great meet (even tho I only showed up for 2h of it :P )

Kevin, I checked my Zaino stash and yes the FX did pretty much solidify.

I'll also need a claybar. Would one be enough for the entire truck?? what do yo think? Is this something I can pick up at a crappy tire or do I need to order online?

Crappy Tire will have one, it comes with some quick detailer. One will do the truck easily - remember, cut it in half so if you drop it you'll have a back up peice.

Also, with Zaino you don't *need* ZFX, just apply z2/z5 as normal minus ZFX, the only reason you use it is so you can layer coats in a day, which I think is wasteful anway.

Have fun, you're going to be sore tackling that beast!

I know I'm wondering if it makes sense for me to get a PC. Would that save me much time/effort?

Great meet guys...

Props Kevin....
You are truly a fountain of knowledge when it comes to looking after our babies

It was a great turn out and great to see everyone again.
It was nice to get a chance to meet some new faces finally.

And thanks Sam for persuading Steve to allow us the use of his facility again.
It really worked out great.

Sam,.... It looks like you really enjoy your work;
unless, you just like being on your knees

Well if you're not polishing the only thing it'll help you with is Zaino application, which is pretty easy anyway. I'd skip it in that case. If you do decide to polish (remove some scratches) then yes, it's pretty much required.

Of course in that case you could always have me come do it.

mesh inserts installed

As some of you know from the meet, I was having difficulty installing the mesh inserts from stillen on my car - until INTGR8R (Ian) gave me an excellent solution that worked perfectly.

Here are some pics...

Mike, that grill looks sweet. Your car is just getting better and better.
Btw, I sent you a PM about the light thing we talked about.

Oh, and is it just me, or doesn't it seem like by the looks of your parking spot, you own the building in the background?

Troy.
