Here's a recap of details, plans, and a map and address:

---------------
[quote=picus]
Hey guys; it's that time again - Meet & Shine! Now there is a meet August 22nd, so I am going to throw out 3 dates below, just sign the list if you want to come with the dates you can make it. As with the last meet we will actually choose the date as it draws near, since weather is a factor. OK, details.

We're doing it at the same place as last time. That means:

435 Limestone Cres.
NORTH YORK, Ontario
M3J 2R1

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en...k+ontario&om=1

Everyone thank Sam (whatacar) and his brother in law Steve for allowing us to use this location again. This time I intend on washing Steve's car if it kills me.

This location is good for a meet and shine because we have access to water and power, and a lot of room, plus we're out of the way and have the exterior of a large building we can use for shade.

Now, official business. As many of you remember last time we had about 25 people, which was awesome. Sam brought a ton of food and drinks, and you guys were generous enough to give him some cash to help pay for it. Big thumbs up. This time I am going to make a request that all attendees pay a "suggested cover charge" of $10. Alternatively feel free to bring food/drinks/whatever. I am not going to be a crazy nut about it, I would just like very much for Sam to be reimbursed if he again decides to feed us all (which I imagine he will). Again, this is a suggested amount, more is good, less is ok, none is fine too (or bring some goodies).

So what does this $10 get you?

1) It gets you in, which means food, drinks, good times, and lots of learning. I will be on hand all day to answer questions, show techniques, help with trouble areas on individual cars etc...

2) It gets you in my awesome drawing. What awesome drawing? The one for a free detail of course. I am going to get everyones name on some cards and draw them at an appropriate time. The winner gets a free detail. That's $350 worth of detailing folks. Now, I trust you all so I won't go all legal, but the $350 detail includes the work on my site (Multi-step + Interior), so wash, clay, multi step polish, seal/wax, full interior, dress everything, basically the whole works. That said, if the car has been through a field of rose bushes or someone died in it... well, just be reasonable.

More details. Last time you guys may remember that I detailed Sam's car so people could watch. That worked well however as Sams car is black and was in rough shape, it took more time than I had originally planned (which was no big deal), but this time I'd like to do the same thing, but perhaps on a silver car, so I can spend a little less time on the detail and a little more time answering questions/mingling/helping with individual issues. So Colin, if you're still interested you're the man this time. Let me know. If not someone else with a Silver car who wants a detail, let me know.

Did I forget anything? Oh right, dates. Since we're having the Aug 22 meet lets go for these three dates, again, sign your name to the list and the dates you can attend and we will go from there:

Saturday, Sept 16

So that would mean the list for the 16th is as follows;
1) Kevin (Picus)

Glad to hear that, Troy. Last Meet & Shine started around 10AM, altho some will arrive earlier to help open/set up.
We're deciding now whether to bring food and chip in as we did last time, or order in to the location.
In any case, and assuming it's cool this time, bring refreshments such as water, juice, suds, as you see fit, altho, as last time, we won't get too bent out of shape so as to show appreciation for the use of Sam's brother's property and not to upset the neighbours..

It worked out super last time with some brews, pops, water, and juices and lots of food to feed hungry and thirsty tummies.....

Stay tuned for final details.......and let's hope the weatherman is good to us again....

C.

Edited for time.
