Some are from the southern portion too, like your friend Keith, and many have described the scenery around the Avalon Pen. and surrounding areas such as Cape Bonavista and Bonavista Bay.
Great pictures of your buddy's fishing trip and of how the weather can be so chageable.
TNX for posting.....I love the east coast and really enjoy my visits there.

I have never been to NFLD, but would definitely love to go. I always wanted to see icebergs in the spring for some reason.

Btw, I thought Keith's picture of them catching that 6 foot shark was cool.

Excellent guys. I have travelled to many exotic places from Brazil, most of Europe, Africa, US, blah blah and I can say that I have never seen anything like the ferry arriving to Port aux Basque. I thought I had landed on the moon. Hopefully you will see what I mean.
I have only been up the western coast shopping just short of the tip on the northern penninsula. That was about 7-8 years ago in July. It was interesting seeing an iceberg close to shore in the summer. Gross Morne Park was quite beautiful and the fjords were amazing. There are many beautiful quaint fishing villages to explore and some nifty twisty roads and spectacular coasal vistas. A drivers paradise.
It would be great to get a group together and do some travelling.
