Test drive both. However before making a decision consider where and when you will be driving the car . If it is often in traffic/rush hour the standard will become very, very tedious. If not the standard will give you more of a fun factor and you will learn to drive it within a short time.

I agree with RBull. When I was buying my car, I had a very hard time figuring out if I wanted standard or automatic. On one hand, I wanted standard because it's "cool", the G is a sports car, and you get 18 more HP (or whatever it is). On the other hand, I wanted automatic because of how careless my daily drive in and out of downtown would be.

Ultimately I opted for automatic because I prefer to have a nice relaxing drive in this beautiful car and not have to worry about shifting like a madman. Furthermore, to be honest, I find it more "luxurious" to drive automatic...of course, this could just be my own twisted POV

What , Oh no Troy that is sacrilege having food and drink and smokes in the car to some peeps here. Hehe , but I'm not one of them, I'm with you I do have coffees in my G. BUT, I am against talking on the cell or eating, while driving .

 

LOL GEE35X, I would never smoke or eat in the car, hell, I don't even in my civic. I do talk on the phone though (sometimes it is necessary), and I have drinks that don't sweat (ie. an ice cap from timmies)

i test drove alot of cars the only dealersship that let me go alone was Mini Cooper

 

I have a manual and I've managed to connect my laptop to my blackberry and VPN into a customer site to fix a problem while on the DVP.

 

Doesn't all that magnetic brake dust create too much shielding for that
