XM Radio DIY Install in Canada
Has anybody done an install of an XM tuner in a Canadian G35?
My understanding is that my '05 sedan is prewired, and I want to play through the OEM Bose head unit with steering wheel controls, etc. The dealerships here just want to stick a discrete unit on the dash, which is not what I want.
The XM tuner that you can buy from Grubbs, etc. seems pretty straightforward to install, but I'm not certain that this unit will work with the Canadian service. Does anyone know for sure?
The other option seems to be the Terk universal tuner, but their Clarion adapter isn't available yet, and I'm not sure that it will connect to the prewire in the trunk. It looks like it would go under the dash, but I want the antenna at the rear. It also looks more expensive than the Nissan unit.
Who's already done this? I know I can't be the first. Thanks in advance.

Read my thread:

Be sure to read it all the way through as I go through some ups/downs with regards to the prewire (which the 05 sedan does NOT come with - in my case at least)
If you have any questions, let me know and I'll try to help out.
Forgot to mention, the unit from Grubbs will work with the Canadian subscription. XM will just want the id code from it for activation. I'm on the US subscription but I'm confident it would work on the Canadian one as well (I've had XM in one form or another since they were available, that's why I have US account)

More digging required before I jump in.
Thanks again for the reply - I would have acknowledged it sooner but I've been away for a week.
