I now own a wicked car.

Hello fellow rediculously wicked g35 owners!

My name is Troy and I'm from Toronto. I got my black on black 06 G35 coupe (with sports package, no navi) about 2 weeks ago and I still can't believe how awesome it is. I knew I had to own this car when I heard one about 3-4 months ago take off at a light. I don't see many of these babies on the road, which is both a good thing and a bad thing, I think...although there are about 4 that I drive by daily (south of Bloor & Jane).

I also have a few questions I was hoping you guys could help me out with.

Is a new model of the g35 coming out soon?

I'm looking to get the car tinted. I'm more interested in quality then saving a buck, and suggestions?

I wash my car at Fine Details and they have this "Gem coat paint protection" for $99...is it worth it?

How do I open and close my doors (and trunk) without getting finger prints all over the place? Black is so sexy but a bitch to maintain.

That might be it for now. I should be doing a little amateur photoshoot of my car with a couple of my girl friends next weekend, so I will post some pics of that

Take care and I love my car (in case I didn't say it enough)

Troy

Hey Troy, congrats on the new G and welcome to driver.

The new G sedan will be out in a couple of months. The new Coupe is expected sometime late next spring as an '08 model.

I can't help with your questions about local Toronto shops since I'm here in NS.

As to the fingerprints issue I always push my door closed using my knuckles on the rubber strip between door metal and window. On the trunk I pull up using the wing and close using the outer edge of my clenched fist. NO PRINTS. Now if I could only get my passengers to do the same.

Welcome to the fourm. It was the same for me when I heard the sound. Had to have one.
I try to use the back of my hand on the window to close my door and I use the inside of the trunk lip to close it.
Enjoy the ride.

Welcome to the board and congrats on the purchase Troy. The Coupe sure sounds sexy, I wish my Sedan sounded like that.

Looking forward to seeing your photoshoot pics.

Welcome, Troy, and congrats on your "wicked" Black Beauty...
Don't forget to add your name to our Toronto and area registry...... HERE.

I got an excellent tint job (and clear bra) done at 3M Trim-Line in Mississauga (on Drew).

visit http://www.3mtrimline.ca for info.

Most of us feel that aftermarket paint protection isn't worth it and do the job ourselves or entrust our rides to Picus
to keep them "wicked" and beautiful...
You can read about, and see, Kevin's (Picus) work in THIS THREAD.
If you want the best.....then get Picus to do it for you. He has the magic touch.

Actually we have a Meet and Shine coming up with him, probably on the 16th. of Sept. - see HERE for registry and details.
Hope you can make it. It will be a fun and rewarding day.

Hope to see you on the 16th, and enjoy your new G.

Perhaps I should have said, "friends, that happen to be female". I am single ... but this car seems to want to change this.
