Here's an idea.

Why don't you hire some not so experienced but willing guys or gals and contract Picus to train them? Then you know for sure they will have the right experience.

I'll tell you what - not to crap on this thread or anything; I really do hope you get someone and I am sure it's a solid job. Thing is dealership detailing work is almost uniformly crummy, so anyone with the "right experience" will generally not like it. This analogy is kind of stupid but it'll make sense - imagine asking a doctor to go into a clinic and hack people up with a machete, that's *usually* what working for dealerships is like. Quick 'n dirty.

So if yours is different that's awesome. I would suggest shooting over to Autopia.org and posting in the Canada section. I almost guarantee you'll get quality resumes out of that. Cheers.

Lol "Crummy?" - thats almost putting it mildly. Just to give an example for the crummy pay starts at an average of $15/hour up to $30 PER car- for a real experienced detailer. The average time is 45 min a vehicle. we have usually 8 cars a day - In a shift A top tier detailer can make $1200 on new car cleanups alone a week!, not to count rewashes. Hrmm $4800 washing cars a month- ..... almost $60G a year........crummy indeed....

Oh thanks for the link on Autopia.org....that I will check out right now!

I think he meant the quality is crummy... I can't imagine how "good" a 45 minute detail could be... it takes me 3-4 hours to "detail" my car, and thats non stop without even getting to the waxing...

Don't forget most of the new cars are clean already, hence about 45 minutes. Unless there are scratches etc.

Picus112 - thanks again for that link - very informative site. And you have great props there too. Now I understand y you say crummy.....LOL I agree thats why I am trying to look for a "Good" detailer.. here in his site PICUS112's ...I can really learn alot from him - JUST from his site...GOOD JOB! I think I will use this as a reference.
