+1 on the pooches......Great companions, and excellent watch-dogs...

Mine are Cocker Spaniels.....lovable, and they know what's going on.

someone broke into my house last year, took alot of stuff. My mom almost encounter them.
My aunt's house got broke in last week, clear the whole house. From money, car keys, to collector stamps. My cousin's house got broke in yesterday, good thing they didn't have much valuable in the house.

Whats the @#!#, are you for real? 3 different robberies, and you know the people very well in a matter of 2 weeks. Your story seems very fictional. How the heck can u be related to three different households that got broekn in to 3 separate times in a matter of days? These robbers must be targeting the people you know or something.

That seems like a good possibility. In many robberies there is a connection to someone that has been inside your house.

My dog Vegas is the farthest thing from a watchdog. She doesn't even bark when a stranger comes in the yard. She just wags her tail, goes over to them and starts licking.

Not yet Wayne, that comes this Friday! It is going to be an exciting week. We go to the hospital on Friday for the ultrasound and find out if it is a boy or a girl, and then leave for the Caribbean on Saturday.

I apologize to the OP as well for going off topic.

Unless your dog is trained well, all it takes is a three dollar steak.

There was/is a show on Discovery Channel called It Takes a Thief (I think). I t had/has two ex burglars who go to a house, tell the residents to lock up, and they break into the house. They then do a security overhaul afterward and try to break in again. Watch the show; it will get you up to speed on home security without paying an expert.

It could be stigma of Jewish(rich!) neighbourhood, but I could only laugh at them taking Magnasonic $39.99 DVD player. There's virtually nothing to steal in my house. My family just doesn't care about jewellery, artworks and antiquities.

Intrusion in my private space is what pisses me off.
nah, I dont think it has anything to do with the religion of the hood. Home burglaires happen all aorund the city, and quite often in Scarboro and Markham.

My advice would be to get an alarm system but, not overthink this. Sometimes its just a case of bad luck and nothing more. unfortunately this one of the downsides of living in a big city.

glad to hear everyone is well though.

Yes, you are right. It's weird. And i forgot about my uncle (who live in another City), also got broken in 6 months ago, his house has alarm but those robbers are lucky enough. It seems like we all got broke in by the same group of people, professional people. Cops do not seem to care much in this city, as long as no one get hurt, it's fine with them. They were actually trying to hand the problem back to us, as our family people.
