Funny story Shane. I haven't had that much luck before and don't know any city cops this way. Maybe that's a good thing too.

Back in the summer, I was headed to a business meeting in Fredericton on a Saturday morning. I was running late as usual since I am not a morning person. I was crossing the harbor bridge in Saint John and got to the other side to pay. As soon as I paid the toll and proceded through the booth, there was a city Police with it's lights on waving me over to the side. I knew I was speeding over the bridge, but was thinking how the hell he knew that since he was on the other side of the bridge. Anyways, I pull over to the side (cursing and swearing of course) and the cop walks up to my window. I rolled down my window and he took one look at me and said "Jesus F'ing Christ".....with a big smile on his face. I know only two cops on the entire Saint John Police force.....and thank God he was one of them. He didn't know I drove a G35 so he was surprised it was me. Thankfully I knew him well from school and he let me off without a ticket. I asked him how he got me and he said that there was another city cop hiding at the start of the bridge and radio'ed ahead to him. He told me I was doing 112 in a 70.

Every once in awhile, it's nice to get a break.
LOL, Shane, 42 over the limit and you got away with it.....Now that was real lucky too... ....kudos.

......after something like that happens, you creep around at or below the s/limit thinking damn this is slow lol..

Yeah, I was definitely lucky that day. I generally don't speed all that much so when I got pulled over I was p!ssed at myself. I haven't gotten a ticket in years and I want to keep it that way. Anything over 25 clicks costs you 5 points and over a $300 fine in NB. I actually met up with my cop friend a couple of weeks later in Brunswick Square in Saint John and bought him a coffee. I figured it was the least I could do.

Smooth job with the cop.

I've been lucky for a while too. I usually do speed a bit so gotta watch out.
My last one was in NB 122km in a 90 in my Dakota pulling my double snowmobile trailer and two machines.

Losing your licence for a week here with every ticket isn't fun. Same here on the points. 8 points gets you a re-test; 10 points in 5 years gets automatic 6 month suspension.

a ticket for 10 over is an incident and has the same effect as one for 30 over.

Might pay you to hire POINTTS or some other ticket fighter..... (as well as tell her to be extra specially careful)

Thanks Colin. I think we'll have to look into this before we leave.
