Well, Ian and Kevin have got their's now, -- you think Chico will go to 'The Dark Side' too?

I don't think Chico has been on here for quite a while. Maybe he has done the brand switch.

He might have done the brand switch, but I think I saw him post on the forum as recently as this week, on a different thread about a G coupe with a new widebody kit and some crazy-train custom 22" iforged rims with the deepest dish i've ever seen...

Congrats Ian and Kevin,

Should we conduct an informal poll as to who mod's their new Bimmer first?

LOL, If Kevin hasn't modded his yet, then it's probably a sure bet that Ian already has a garage full of mods just waiting.......

Mine isn't here, I get it in December, so no mods yet (but I have some waiting. )

I just got done detailing Ian's new ride; what a beauty - I am sure he'll post some pics as soon as he's done driving it (which might be a few days from now!)

Kevin,

Being a "new" car, was there much dirt on the vehicle upon your first inspection?
I know you mention rail dust being a problem on some new vehicles...

The clay took off quite a bit of contamination, mostly on the horizontal panels (hood, decklid, etc), the cars are covered on the boat but not on the rail, so a lot of grime just sits on it. There were very few scratches or marring, so it just required a super light polishing except for a few spots on the hood and where I debadged it at Ians request.

The rail dust isn't a huge issue, you could always clay the car in the spring but hey, I'm a detailer, so I am biased and say get it off now!
