Fido sux a$$

I do not like fido......they been making mistakes on my phone bill from ages!!! This time they send me a invoice for $240......supposed to be $37 after taxes etc.....
My dad usually pays for it without asking any questions etc but this time i asked how much it was and he said $240 and my balzzzz fallen out...i looked and this is all bs they have on....$98 for long distances!!! WTF I never called long distance. My school is durham college and since i live in Markham i may make few calls but they are like 2-3 mins long

My dad was about to pay and its good i looked at it, i asked him for previous bills (he keeps everything till one year) so he pulled all of them out and HOLY CRAPPPPP FIDO HAS BEEN RIPPING THE ****T OUTTA ME
Their saying i texted around 300 msgs which iS NOTT POSSIBLE with the new phone i got since i cant even dail a number how am i suppose to text???

What abull **** company....

Telus isn't much better either...
My phone doesn't work too well (rings forever on caller's end without ringing once on my end or even worse, hangs up on them - known issue amongst everyone else who's with Telus that I know but no one else cares as much as I do) and they over charge me here and there. I got them to admit it's their network problem and not my phone or my location after about 10 calls to their support. Then, another 16 calls after that because they are 'trying to hel.' Always got people's name but was never able to reach them again. So all and all, 26 calls in 3 months because I just want my service to work. No ETA on fixing the issue, no nothing.

They pulled 'you are in a contract' move although no one could explain how it's my fault at all if it's them who's not able to meet their end of the bargain.
It was viscious cycle of

Telus: 'you are in a contract'
Me: 'but you are not meeting the terms of this contract. i have no problem paying but fix the problem or let me out of the contract'
Telus: 'but you are in a contract'
Me: 'but you are not meeting the terms of this contract. i have no problem paying but fix the problem or let me out of the contract'
...

At the end of the day, I gave up . Any legal fees would exceed my penalty for getting out of the contract.

One person says they will get it fixed, the next person who i get passed to says it's not possible and there's no way they could find out if i send out all those texts or not..so i will end up paying for texts..its $40 for texts!!!!!! i didn't bother with the other charges, i'm gonna go to my local fido shop and show them the bill and ask if all those numbers even up! Which they don't........

It's possible some one has cloned your number and created a "ghost phone". Best solution, change your number. Keep fighting them and don't just talk to Customer Service, ask for the Customer Relations department.

If they're jamming you, Manbir, and it sure sounds like they are, you should pull the service right now until you get it sorted.
Take all your bills in on Monday and point out the mistakes.
Sounds like they owe Dad some dough....

Start making plans for another service, but don't tell Fido now. Let them think you will continue with them.

BTW, I have Rogers and have been treated very well by them. They have their 'moments', but by and large, they are good to deal with.

.......and I guess that's obvious to you now but it's a good policy to check monthly statements for errors. They are much easier to fix when they are just issued.

i was with telus too. and i had that same problem. where people would call me and it would like ring forever on there end but not even ring on my end. so i called telus they did all this network BS, and still nothing...and then they told me yeah its a "hardware problem."(i had the moto V710) im just liek wtf ive had this phoen for so long its not even under warranty anymore. so i gave them **** and then they ended up giving ma $100 credit towards a new phone...so i ended up buying that new nokia 6265. still same problem after like a month. then i just ended up calling them after getting pissed off and told them to just cancel my contract. theyre just liek you have 14 months remaining until it expires. im just like yeah but id rather pay the 280bux then to not be able to talk to anyone on my phone. also i think telus planz SUCK!. so i just signed up with rogers like 3 days ago...got me that new cyber-shot k790. and im happy

BTW - im selling that nokia 6265 phone...i dont think anyone would want to buy it after reading this now would they? if so let me know lol its an awesome phone i wish it were GSM so i could use it with rogers. PM if intrested. thanx

Go to www.howardforums.com and post your problem there. They have reps who are on line and actually will help with billing issues.

I have rogers and fido phones and i love fido and hate rogers. Rogers can never keep a bill straight. I have never had any issues with my fido bill but i do have the city fido plan which never has overages.
