Mini Meet in the Great White North

Wusses stay home today.....It was cold, with a tad of snow and some sun, but it was that N/W wind that dug its claws in......

The company was great, the rides were superb, (tho my M had to pass due to lack of insurance and fear of salt ) , the eats were tastey at a new sports restaurant called Turtle Jack's, and the conversation was lively.......Everyone had a great time.....

Wayne and Karen (Mr. and Mrs. GEE35X) just picked up their new X and is great as many of you know, Kudos Karen & Wayne, great choice , and I love the colour. Ian also braved the snow and salt (InTgr8r) and had his new ride there too , an M Coupe Roadster, Kudos Ian.....another terrific ride....

and then there was my Honda product (CSX- Acura) which the guys allowed in with the Bimmers and Infinitis, lol, tnx guys.. That's the second time I've let you guys down parking my 'other brand' next to a bevvy of beauties.
I promise to do better next time..... (the insurance will be back on in April. )

Great to see everyone....there are quite a few pics despite the cold, and there are a few especially for Shane (Garnet Canuck)....can you tell which ones they are Shane????

For a change mine was the dirtiest....... , -- the silvers didn't show much dirt or salt at all.........

Enjoy, - we all can't wait for some decent weather again for a warm weather meet again where we can all enjoy the new rides and new people...

Colin

Thumbs up

Wow, you guys are car crazy!!! Three new rides and all sweet pieces of machinery. I wanna be there

Looks like Shane started a new trend on the picture show off. Wayne & Karen, that's a beauty and the colour looks dynamite. I like the tint/dark colour contrast. Ian, you must have had to really control the happy pedal with some white stuff down. What a gorgeous looking and fun car to drive! Colin, holy smokes... another new car. That must be an incredible daily driver and you won't be suffering too much from the M.

Enjoy the new cars folks.

Thanks Deane...
This was kind of a test run... to see just how she behaved in the slippery stuff.
Happy to report 2 thumbs up.
The Dunlop M3s are fantastic.

The DSC on this car is great.... gets the job done w/o being to obtrusive.
Also with sport mode = off
the throttle is a little less responsive to input
& steering is a little slower.

Had some fun doing a little drifting in the snowy pk lot

Fabulous. I'll bet that would be fun. It's been a few years since I've done that with my Jeep. A well engineered car with snow rubber makes such a difference.

I can't wait to see and hear it in person.

Hey Colin thanks for posting all the pics, they are great .
I just have to say it is so nice to be part of this family and people like Colin and Ian who are such great friends and are always there to share in things we enjoy. Thanks guys, Karen and I enjoyed the Mini-Meet as always (I wish it was a bit warmer though )

Ian, Karen and I went down to Guelph expecting to see Colin in his Honda Civic (Winter Car), but, noooo, I couldn't see Colin's car, I drove right by him . Lo and Behold he pulled a switcheroo and fooled all of us by showing up in a nice Acura (he has had it for a while and did not let the cat out of the bag). Good one Colin, nice winter driver for sure .

Ian's new BMW is awesome, beautiful ride Ian and wow what a nice set of winter wheels and tires on that Z4, Sweet . Beautiful set-up.

As to our car, it was all set-up as we wanted and we are just loving it, I posted a few pics of it in the 07 section, here: https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...=128144&page=4

Thanks Ian it was a fun time, and Karen always picks the colors and once again I love it, she picked a winner .

The drive wasn't bad until the last 25 kms or so, then whiteouts, bad drifting, and the regular lake effect stuff that we quite often get near our place. It is amazing how different the weather can be along the lake shore. Once again another reason we drive an X.
