I agree! I initially found these rims @ Cheap Thrills for $200 a pop and thought to myself, I can do better. I'm a bargain expert, lol.

BMC - Yeah, I was in Future Shop last week and I decided to pick up a copy of Photoshop because everyone but me seems to use it! I'm learning a bit from various tutorials, but I primarily use it to resize my pics from my digital camera.

Yeah, pretty good price.

I'm not looking this year as I still have to burn up the rubber on my winters.

Does anybody know if this is a problem. The centre 'hub' that gets exposed by putting on steel rims with no wheel covers gets all rusty. Should I be trying to remove this rust and applying rust proofing spray? If I do, it doesn't look easy to clean. I've been doing this for 3 winters now and finally it dawns on me.

This part seems to rust very easily as I just put snow tires on steel rims on my new Ody and voila, rust on the centre hub.

I like the look Troy. Much better than steelies. I also got the Hankook Icebears on stock 17"s. Seen a fair number of black rims and like em. We've had snow here and they seemed to do a good job.

Very nice Troy, I'll hide in the corner with my "Last Year Fashion"....

I actually have the same question as lg777, I thought of it before, but never asked. Hopefully some might know the answer to this!

Same problem here. Maybe a cap would work. I just haven't seen any around anywhere...Anyone have an idea as to where to get centre caps for steelies???

Unfortunately, I cannot help with the rust problem.

But I do have a question for you guys. Today as I was driving to Niagara Falls, and the Low Tire Pressure light came on. I pulled over to check the tires, but they were fine. I've had my winter setup for about 2 weeks and have not had this light come on before. Was it because I was at higher speeds on the highway? It came on maybe 30Km into my trip. Should I be concerned or is this normal since I have smaller tires and a non-staggered setup?

On a side note, I must have seen 6 or 7 Gs today and they were all on summers still ...

Troy you didn't put your tire sensors in your winters did you?
If you didn't it is not a problem, the majority of people do not run them year round. Your car will sense they are not there after usually 30 to 50 kms and after driving at highway speeds. It will not do it all the time but the light will come on occassionally, as long as an alarm doesn't come on, it's no biggie. The light resets itself after you shut the car off.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply Wayne,

I do not believe I have these sensors in the winter tires, because at the shop I took it to, they did not take the stock tires off the stock rims (I'm assuming this sensor is inside the tire). What I find weird is that up until today, this light never came on. I've started the car maybe 10 times today, and every time the light flashes for 1 minute and then stays turned on.

Troy like I said it won't come on until you have driven at least 30-50 klicks and if I remember correctly you have to be going over a certain speed on those trips for it to come on if the sensors are not installed.
What you describe is exactly the way my 05 behaved when I had no sensors in the winter tires.

Those rims and wheels look great. It's a shame thought that it probably won't stay clean. We shouldn't be driving these cars in the winter. I'm dreading the salt and the rust that follows...

I needed to be comforted, Wayne I just freaked out when I saw the light. Pulled over on the highway (first time I've done that, damn 100KM+ is fast) and started checking the manual, walked around the car, checked air pressure....all while having another ~50Km to go and being late for my court date It was rather stressful.
