Question Top Selling Band of All Time

I was having a conversation today with a friend regarding who the top selling Canadian band is of all time. We both agreed that it was probably either The Guess Who or the Tragically Hip. I did a search on the net, but never really found anything concrete. Does anyone happen to know?

Who the heck is that???

I figured that Celine Dion was the top selling solo artist in Canadian History, that's no surprise really. I honestly thought that The Guess Who or the Hip would of sold the most albums for a band.

A little before our time eh

I'm sure the members of the OFC will know

I remember my parents and my older relatives talking about them . The Royal Canadians apparently were very popular across Canada during the war years.

Bill, did they actually sell the most albums of all time in Canada? I find that hard to believe especially considering the era they were around.

That list I put up includes sales outside of Canada, obviously. I am not sure who the top selling Canadian artist IN Canada is, but I'd bet The Hip, Guess Who, and Rush would all be on the list.

LOL, I completely missed your list Kevin. It's hard to imagine Anne Murray being on that list. Three of them I never even heard of.

I would have thought BTO and April Wine would have been up there but perhaps that's just my era.
