Wow, who would of thought? Here I was thinking it was probably the Tragically Hip and it ends up being a Big Band group from the 20s-30s. I guess you could say that I was a little off.

I have never met anyone outside of Canada that has even heard of the Hip.

When I lived in SF we had the awesome pleasure of seeing The Hip at the Fillmore (a pretty legendary venue), which holds maybe 1,500 people. It was always packed when we saw them there but it was 90% displaced Canadians. It was surreal seeing them in such a small place, but ya, other than other Canadians The Hip had almost no exposure out there.
