Share a few pics

Thought I would share a few pics. A buddy shot of us in Vegas, I'm the old dude in the middle. My neighbours SS, very nice shape. A nice industrial shot of my M. A shot of my son Josh with my old coupe which he has bought from me. A shot of the 4 cars that park at our house.

Shane, Colin and a few others have shown their mug on here so I though a picture might explain my old time point of view. Still very young at heart when it comes to cars though.

For anyone that might care. The shots of Josh and our stable are at our home in Edmonton.

Hey thanks for sharing. That's a major league stable Mark, and one any car guy would be excited to own.

I guess your son got the G fixed. Your neighbours SS is in nice condition. We just don't see anything of that vintage around here.

Hey you're not old. I'm only two years off you and consider that young.

Give us an update of your trip.

A couple more shots. The clown is what I am getting painting on my racing helmet (Kart Racer). Want to scare the competition. My goofy daughter in Hawaii this summer. She drew crowds with her antics. My favorite car at Barrett Jackson last year and a shot my my girls by the Xmas tree this year.

Great shots bro.....I thought you are much younger than me, I can see that you are...... -- no worries on being old there....

Car shots are super, M5 of course, the "old" coupe which your son now has , still looks brand new , the FX, and the Infiniti I/J on this end. All look great, and your love of cars really shows.

Kudos to your friend who own's the SS...Brings back some fond memories and it still looks like it did in '67 or '68.

Looks like you had a great time in Vegas too......Hope it was as prosperous as it was fun.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Colin

Thanks for the additional shots. It looks like a lot of the people, pets and things that are important to you.

Holiday was a hoot. SheiKra, the roller coaster at Busch gardens was the most exciting ride I have ever been on. You climb what seems like forever, get to the top and turn and the over the edge and stall for 5 seconds, looking 200 ft. straight down. Then you take off and are doing 80 mph when you get to the bottom. What a rush.

Traffic was stupid busy in Orlando this year, worse than last but it was still fun. US Airways lost our luggage on the way there though and we never got it back. Cost me a bundle to replace everything when we got there but I hopefully recoup some of this. We'll see.

Awesome pictures Mark!! Your M5 is such a beautiful car, you must have so much fun driving it! That SS is a beauty as well.

Btw, how was your trip to Florida over the holidays?

The SS is in really great shape Colin. It is a stock 350 cu.in 350 hp. Fairly rare I think. Sound so sweet when Ali (neighbour) fires it up. Ali also just picked up a 70 Chevelle and he is going to clone an S/S. He's got a 383 Stroker for it in storage so it should be nice when done. The neighbour is quite versitile, he is a body man, paints cars, own a gravel trucking business and some other ventures.

Nice thing about getting close to 50 is you get to relax and buy the toys. It is great compensation for the aches and pains of aging.

Hey Bull, the pic of Josh's coupe was before the accident. It is fixed now and looks like new. You might think from the pics that I like white cars.

Thanks Shane. Holiday was great, see post above.

Washed up the M5 this morning and the wife and I went out for a drive today. The narrower 18's I have for winter are a bit of a problem though. Punch it and they brake loose at any speed. Look forward to summer. Going to take it to Calgary to BMW school so I can learn to drive it.

Ooops, I missed that post. It sounds like you had a great time, although that really bites that your luggage was lost. That coaster at Busch sounds insane! That must of got your adrenaline going eh?

I don't doubt it with the smaller tires and the M5 power.

Awesome. If you haven't been it's a great experience. I've only been to two schools. You do some karting and other performance driving so this will be a real treat with the car you have.

We have had the I-30 since new. I ordered it at an auto show in spring of 95 and got it May of 95 as a 1996 model. It has been the best car we have ever owned. It has 250K on it and other than maintainance and rear only struts, this car is running on original parts. It gets outstanding gas milage and with Blizzaks, it handles better on icy roads than the FX. I seriously consider this the most under-rated car built in the 90's and it is the reason there are two more Infinitis parked beside it.

I hope the BMW can stand up beside these cars, the bar is pretty high (dependability and quality wise). I had a Lexus ES 300 after the I-30 and the I-30 was way more fun to drive and way less trouble. You won't read that in the press very often I suspect.
