I would give up my blackberry in a moment for it...I wish it was an EVDO phone though.

Heard its gonna be 499 for the 4gb and 599 for the 8gb seems a bit high for just a phone. I'll pass

Rogers only as it's GSM. It's more than a phone - I don't know of too many phones that need 4gb/8gb of storage.

The pricing is as stated above, which is right along the lines of where it should be.

My concerns are:

- in a corporate world, the blackberry will still be king - having the ability to remotely wipe/lock a BB is a big security bonus;
- the lack of keys will be weird, IMO. I have a starcom uts6700 pda phone and one of the things I hate the most is dialing by softkey (touch screen) as there is no tactile feedback;
- who is making the radio in the iPhone - what type of quality will it have;
- will it have a user replaceable battery;

Kudos to Apple for venturing forth as I'm sure this is a terrific 1st attempt, it appears.

fyi, the iphone is suppose to come on in the states exclusively for cingular in the states in June, so we'll have to wait quite a while before we can get our hands on it. I really want one!

and Fido is also GSM....

the apple phone looks pretty awesome, but I have a feeling that it would drive me mad using the soft keyboard for sending emails and text messages. I think I'm going to stick with the Black Berry Pearl for my next purchase, unless something better comes along before the cellular phone numbers become mobile between carriers in March.
