Glad to hear that you and the kids are okay Colin. I've seen something like that happen on several occasions throughout the year. It's not only in the winter, people really need to open their eyes and look around.

Driving into work today, the highway was snow covered from our snow yesterday and overnight. Needless to say, traffic was going slower than usual. There was a Toyota 1/4 ton truck that passed me rather quickly. Less than 30 seconds later, he veers back to the right hand lane cutting the person off in front of me, and then takes an exit off the highway. Anissa could tell that my blood was boiling. Both the car in front of me and myself have to brake rather quickly while this F'ing idiot swerves over two lanes and takes the goddamn exit.........all on snowcovered roads. I was livid!
Yeah I hear you man....... ......yes we made it thru ok.... You're wise to watch very closely these days tho......and prepare for anything and everything.... --

Wow, you should have seen some of the locals around here yesterday......so many crashes (police were not calling them accidents yesterday because it was felt that most were totally avoidable. )

The sun's write-up of yesterday's horror show was most disparaging of people's driving skills and intelligence......I'm sure you saw the news on tv and in the papers..

No wonder our damned insurance rates are so bloody high.........

/#2 RANT.

Stay tuned -- I've got more. I'm in a bad mood today since what happened this morning and my foot's killing me..... -- off to the Dr's tomorrow morn.

.......and btw, thanks for listening.

I hope some of this discussion does some good somewhere....altho I feel our g-brothers and sisters are very careful from what I've seen and read.

That's nuts Shane. Its bad enough to do that in good driving conditions. That guy probably hadn't had a Tim Hortons coffee for half an hour and was in a hurry to get one.

Good luck with the doc.

It's so sad out there right now. I just drove the Gardiner to DVP to 404 and saw so many yutz's in the ditch or exchanging insurance it was just laughable.

I'm glad one of us was paying attention.

I think this damned weather puts some people in 'stupid mode'.

I can say I encounter at least one idiot every run. Not too many people reversing but mostly people looking the other way when making right turns or coming out of Tim's with coffee in one hand, cell phone in the other and a donut in the other. Oh yeah and people stopping at a red light, in the middle of the crosswalk.

Hey Peter, I guess he caught you on that before I could reply. We get the idea though.

I agree 100% with you.
