need help: coupe block warmer plug
just got my car back from getting the front bumper painted... and already something didn't look right... the block warmer plug was zip tied to the grill. i cut the zip tie off and tried pushing the plug back but i'm finding it difficult to place and it's very loose. can someone have a look at theirs and tell me how this thing is held in place? are there any clips or is just wedged in there? i could have sworn that it was more flush with the screen before but now it's jutting out and i can't seem to push it in any further. thanks in advance... and if u could supply a close-up pic.. that would be even better ! thanks all.

As I remember, just the plug's 3 prongs poked thru the mesh which the plug end was zipped to (tightly)-- I think there were 2 ties on there.......
It seems to me that I had to remove the under engine cover to access that area to get to the zip ties in behind the grill's mesh that holds the b/heater wiring in place.
I have no pics but someone won't mind taking one for you, I'm sure.

I think you're right about that fit and ties Colin. I had the '06 bumper put on and the mesh is different so the plug won't fit through anymore. I went to pick up my car and the body shop owner told me they just laid my cord in below the rad on the plastic aero floor pan. He told me he stopped an employee who was going to cut my grille to put the plug back in place.

i basically did what u posted above last night. got home from work and started looking at that stupid plug. i couldn't get it to fit snug on the grill so i just worked it through ... fished it to a safe spot and tied it down. i figured that i never use it... so i might as well put it somewhere secure. i wish there were some clips included or something.
