Thumbs down Weather Bomb

I guess we've got another weather bomb headed this way today and tonight- the dreaded nor' easter. Our area won't be the worst hit but still expecting winds of 90-110km/hour and 25-50mm of rain.

Fortunately it won't be the white stuff but could present some flooding problems together with the 7-8 cm of snow now down.

Thanks Wayne.

Definitely strange stuff. We had two very cold days and now it's headed for +6 with the rain and wind. It was -21 Wed. am and windchill -35, and -18 yesterday am.

I hope my gut feeling is right that it won't be as bad as they say.

Yes I remember Shane saying it was -20C two days ago, now you are getting all this rain. Jekyll & Hyde weather for sure.

We are getting the somewhat same thing Deane, although I don't think we will be getting as high of winds as you will. It was snowing very hard earlier this morning, but the temps are now at +2C and it has changed to rain. It is raining very hard now and supposed continue with heavy rains for the rest of the day. Then tonight the temps are supposed to drop, change back to snow, and all this water will freeze. Northern NB is supposed to get 30cms of snow instead of all the rain.

I hear ya Shane, this weekend is killing me too! Its only going to get to 76F or so, and with 10-15kt winds out of the NE, waves will be kicking a bit too much for diving.

We'll remind him how warm it is there when the next hurricane destroys half the area.

Yeah, my inlaws in Bathurst will be getting hammered with snow.

We only have olight rain here now. They've backed down the winds here to 65-90km and upped the rain to 50-65 mm. We're supposed to stay above freezing. I hope so.

Good luck with your weather.

Yikes Deane.....Old Man Winter came back with some vengence hasn't he...

I've been following your and Shane's weather for the last few days and it's really changed....first the cold for a short time and now heavy rains and some snow.....
Be safe and I hope the flooding doesn't transpire.....but those damned winds must be a PITA tho....

Other than a little snow and cooler temps (about 0) things aren't too bad now after that nasty ice/snow storm last Sunday/Monday/Tuesday.

We're still very lucky here .......

C.
