Question Brake options for TO area people...?

Hey guys,

I know the board has hosted a ton of brake related chit chat (tech area) however it doesn't do me a lot of benefit if I can't locate the parts ASAP. What would you guys recommend as a good low dust brake pad option in the GTA? My options in general at this point are OEM or Hawk (through DriverFX.ca/Cdn Tire). Any other recommended options that anyone can think of?

On a side note, I heard it said that there is no such thing as a strong/high performing brake pad that doesn't produce a lot of dust. Given that the guy saying this races his cars... I'm not sure our ideas of 'performance' are on the same page. I 'race' to the office or 'race' out for a Starbucks!
What has worked well for my fellow frozen Canadians in snow covered southern Ontario?

Opps.... forgot to mention, any noise or squeaks is a BAAAAAD thing. I would rather take the dust!

Try the PBR Deluxe pads from Etop.

I think I might go with these when my OEM's wear out.

Are you saying both the HPS AND the HPS Plus squeal or just the Plus model?

Thanks
Jay

My HPS's have never squealed. Just make sure the original backing plate is used from your G's old set of pads.

I just installed my HPS 2 months ago, stopping power is not as good as the factory brembo, but less dust for sure. Mine do squeal from time to time.

I'm part of the sedan family & don't have the Brembos. I think I'll give the HPS a roll and see what happens. DriverFX.ca has them on for $109 (front)... has anyone seen better pricing elsewhere? I could have sworn those pads were $72 a couple months ago.

Cheers all y'all!

I've read that you need to bed these pads properly or you will have squealing problems. Let us know if you find a better price than driverfx.ca.

^ yup, squealing is from improper bedding.

Best time to do is at night with no cars around... There's a write up on bedding procedure either somewhere around here or on my350z.com. can't remember
