Newbie Question About Tires

Its about time I have to change my front tires. I have Bridgestone potenza on my rear but I'm planning to put Mich pilot sport PA2 in the front....is it okay to mix up things? Sorry kinda of a stupid question.

oh one more... should I stick with mich pilot sport or bitdgestone potenza?

CHEERS!!

different types of tires will give your car unpredictable handling characteristics.

Driven "as the law permits", I doubt you would ever notice much so you "could" get away with it.

Myself, I prefer the same all around and I also tend to change all 4 tires at the same time since driving a car with 100% tread on the front and 30% on the rear is essentially like driving with two different types of tires. Again, you will hardly notice in normal conditions, but when getting near the extreme edge of your tires' capability, you'll wish you had the same high quality excellent condition tires all around.

Last year I changed out my Michelin's with 4 Potenza's RE050A's. I noticed a huge change in how the car performed. I wouldn't want to mix fronts and rears, because we all know how sticky the PS's and PS2's are, even when cold.

I understand that changing all 4 tires at once is a huge cost, but what you get in return, is an overall safer vehicle, with predictable handling, especially at the limit (ie emergency type situations) for the driver, and our VDC system to work with.
