You would likely be surprised if you looked at central Halifax. Especially for a city less than 1/10 size of GTA.

We're looking for a new place now in Toronto, we just got blown out of the water on an offer last week. It's starting to remind me of the San Francisco real estate market.

Real estate prices have definitely climbed the last couple of years, but they are certainly still very reasonable compared to other places.
I'm sure you must love it there Shane. When I drove through there last year I even said I could settle here.

There is a long way to go for appreciation there. You could not build your house here in a similiar setting for under $250. In the city it would be more.

Shame to hear about the housing market situation for you. Ours is cooling a lot in the past 6 months + and its starting to become a buyers market especially in the higher range.
Good luck in your search.

Anissa will have to visit sometime.
728 sq/ft garage? Man, talk about envy. I'm lucky here since I have access to the condos garage, but I'd love to have my own.
Get this, our first house in SF was 720sq/ft, your garage is bigger.

I only have a 420 sq. ft garage and no room to expand it.
