Hey Guys,

I just thought I'd come online and share one of the most hilarious experiences of my life. It may seem as if I'm an idiot, but no worries, [censored] like this happens..I just must have had too much on my mind etc..like I was in love or something..anyways..I enter the YONGE&STEELES Esso to fill up and get a protection wash etc..since it was cold and convenient..I placed the gas cap in to the actual Gas pump handle area to lock it in place so that it would fill up automaitically without human intervention..while its filling up I run in to Esso to get a wash etc..I ran back out..I enter my vehicle and slowly start proceeding..before I here this loud noise that I tore something off. [censored]! Hos funny is this? You can imagine what people were thinking..like "what an idiot". Anyhow what ends up happening is that the my gas cap actual rips off with the hand pump etc..lol...so thats one thing I got to get replaced. Secondly I also notice that the SPRING mechanism that allows the gas cover to release and lock actually broke inside however that happened..so I gotta get the both taken care of. This is quite a story isn't..Just image all this! LOLOLOL. Luckily there was no damage to the exterior of the car. Better yet luckily I did not rip the actual gas line from the pump...who knows what could have hapened there! hopefully the guys at Service will put boht problems through as WARRANTY repair service. lates!

thats very dangerous...starting engine with the pump still in ur car you were trying to steal that hand pump right? :P

 

My wife almost made that same mistake while I was pumping the gas one day, luckily I stopped her before anything happened...speaking of that exact SAME gas station, my friend almost got his bmw X5 stolen while doing the same thing as you did, ie, leave the pump pumping by itself and ran inside for a cup of coffee, then notice some young punk got into his car, but luckily, he had the car key with him and ran outside chasing the guy away..guess the whole incident was taped by station's security camera, and just couple of days ago, police informed my friend that they caught the thug and asked him if he can go and identify him....my friend vowed that he'll never leave the key or car unlocked without his presense ever again....a
