I went clubbing tonight-first time in quite a while. Went to Distrikt, supposed to be "upscale and classy". Oh boy, what a dump. I haven't seen so many fights in 10 years in all clubs combined as in one night at Distrikt. It is filthy, washroom flooded and looked like "sausage fest". "Classy" dress code did not mean anything. Dance floor was like transit zone-people weren't dancing, but constantly walking back and forth, very annoyng.
Club district looked like war zone: 3-5 cops per every line up, cops on bikes, cops on foot, cops on horseback, police cruisers.
Are there any clean places out there playing trance/techno? I cannot stand rap or latin. Is ecstasy dead and all we left with is drunk aggressive as..oles?

Most of the older (2yrs+) clubs look worn out now. Just have to wait for them to change their name and get cleaned up.
Best avoid it all together...
You are really out of luck if you don't like deep house, latin or hip hop. For trance and techno I would try the after hours clubs. 721, Fraser, Dufferin Leg, etc... People actually go to dance and the vibe is solid, even if the venues can be a touch dodge.
