Please help with Clutch Issues

Hey everyone ... my coupe is reaching the 100k mark and I have felt that my clutch is starting to get a little stiff and squeaky. I called the dealership out of curiousity to see how much it would cost to replace a clutch and they told me it's going to cost me $2870 plus taxes (parts and labour). That sounds really expensive to me. Would it be a lot cheaper to go aftermarket ??

Yes and no, aftermarket clutch depending on what you get. Race clutch will chatter more and loud er then OEM. And it depends on the mechanic and how much they charge vs the stealership

Definitely cheaper to go aftermarket. Stealership quotes ridiculous prices... You can save a lot buy installing somewhere else where they dont charge $100/hr in labour.

I haven't installed the clutch yet but I use an Exedy Stage 1 for my RX-7 and it works great. Don't believe they have a flywheel.
