This has already been posted in the 08 Coupe section but some of you guys don't get out of the Canadian section much.

Looks damn good if you ask me.

I think I like the 1st gen better.
Not feeling that front bumper at all.... too soft looking.

^+1.
My first impressions as well, although the side view is more complimentary. The acid test will be seeing it in person.

Yeah I just went there. Not too many happy campers.

IMHO, they played it too safe and made it too evolutionary. I would like to have seen a more aggresive look overall and not so smooth. Right now I'm liking mine just fine.

The new interior should be the best part. Is the 330 hp 270 torque confirmed?

Yeah, I think any concern over declining residuals can be put to bed.

-I agree... interior & mechanicals will be the biggest +
The 330 hp 270 torque, are likely the #s given to reporters as "unofficial" but close.

Thanks. I agree.

Now it will be interesting to know about the AWD option.

Looks like Infiniti just lost a customer. Pretty much the only reason I bought my '06 was because I wanted the "new and amazing" 2008 model but couldn't wait... I think Infiniti ruined a line that could have placed them at the top of the coupe ladder. Knowing that there is an extensive fan base and unbelievable interest in this new model, Infiniti should have done much, much....MUCH more with this car. I simply cannon believe this is what the great minds of this company have come up with.

...honestly, I'm facken speechless. I could go on and on but what is the point. What a crappy Tuesday this has become. I will wait to see this car in person next month in NY, but it looks like Infinti and I are parting ways. If I want a f_cken Nissan, I'll sell my G and buy two.

Troy

I posted this in the 08 section but I wanted to post it here as well, so that my Canadian brothers can understand what I'm going through here. I'm so depressed....I've been waiting for this for so long, and this is what I get? I'm going back to work so I can make money and buy myself an Austin Martin Vanquish S................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ......

I don't know what all the tears are about.

I think the car looks great and I'm sure Infiniti will do very well with the new design. If I had done my research better before I jumped in and bought an 07 in November, I would have waited for the 08.

It's because the design has drifted towards Lexus. (soft)
It not as if it's ugly or anything... it just doesn't have the same edge.

- you can bet the 3rd party body part guys are loving this!

Just remember that its not being released until August....

Maybe some changes will be made if people harp enough about it?
