Souped Up Altima Coupe

I may have a different opinion after seeing it up front live in person, but from the pictures, the G37 has lost the distinctive edgy aggressive look of the 1st Gen. Now it looks like a glorified Altima Coupe. Would they go the extent of sharing the same body panels?

This latest move by Infiniti made my move towards the BMW M3 that much more easier.

I remember back when we first saw the first pictures of the 07 Sedan. Alot of comments back then weren't positive either. Now after people have seen it in person, touched it, drove it, etc, comments have completely changed. I personally remember that I didn't think the Sedan was that aggressive looking either.......but when I saw it for the first time in real life my view completely changed. I think it will be one of those things that you'll need to see up close and personal, as pictures just won't do it justice.

Good point Shane....
Speaking about the '07 sedan... it has 2 bumpers; why not the coupe.
They need a Nismo type sport bumper for this.

Totally agree on the sport type bumper. It would make a significant difference.

Shane, you're right about the sedan. Most seemed to change their tune after seeing and experiencing the real deal. Many may do the same with the coupe especially if that extra pwer materializes.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they offered two types of bumpers like the Sedan. Also, it only took a few months for body kits from Nismo, Kenstyle, etc to be released for the Sedan. Wait until you see an 08 Coupe with a sweet body kit on it, I bet it'll hawt as h3ll. All in all, I think the new Coupe looks very nice, but it doesn't "wow" me at all. But again, neither did the Sedan when I first saw it.

Here is a pic of Hikos' 07 Sedan........now this "WOWS" me!

I do like his plate though. Who said it was wrong to have another girlfriend?

Ian, we were right, there will be two bumpers. There will be a Sport bumper and a non-Sport bumper just like the Sedan. Here is a quote from an Infiniti employee posting in the 08 Coupe section.

"To answer a couple of questions, the car is as close as we have to the production model. I don't foresee any visual changes, but it is not out of the realm of possibility.
Also, the car is a Sport Model, which has a different front fascia (bumper), side sills, and 19" wheels. The non-sport cars will have a different front fascia."

Here is the Whole Post

Man, I don't know what to think. I really don't like this design. I have to see it in person, but I can't find a single angle I like. What's interesting is I think the sedan is much, much, MUCH better looking. It's more subtle, and at the same time more menacing; it seems to have a flow the coupe is lacking. I don't know.

I like the new coupe a lot.

The new headlights are simply BEAUTIFUL.

I like everything about it. Call me crazy but i do

Everyone will think differently after seeing it in person.

I really like the 07 sedans rear end and front. This looks very simliar but in a coupe version and bigger engine. What else can I ask for.

But I am VERY content and Happy with my current G

The new pics reveal a better looking car. I would still like a more aggresive front bumper but the rear looks great other than the chrome lip. I'm not a big fan of the side sills either.

+1... The new pics are definitely better.
I don't mind the butt except for the lights.... they seem to finish abruptly (vertical) at the fender....
I liked the tails on the concept better.
