I'm wondering which specific spot will the new Infiniti dealership be located in? Right beside the newly built Richmond Nissan dealership? Because the whole idea was to be in a separate building entity away from Nissan.

On a side note, we try to have some local Vancouver meets several times a year. Check the http://www.g35.ca message board for further info.

Say, how do you guys like living in B.C., specifically the Vancouver-area?

I've lived in the Toronto-area (with a short stint in Ottawa) for most of my life but I've been seriously thinking of maybe retiring out there. I got to start putting some plans in place.

Any feedback?

I got very bad service from Infiniti/nissan, its ridiculous. Even toyota provided better service

I think autowest infiniti will be a lot better, since my friend has been getting great service from autowest BMW.

Its a great place to retire, but everything is hella expensive. Expect to pay premium for newspaper or milk. I forgot which one

Thanks for expressing your interest in Vancity, it is an incredible place to live. Sure there are issues like traffic congestion and housing shortages that most big cities suffer from, but that is one of the sacrifices we must make.

As far as more people moving into the area, no thanks. We have enough! I would suggest somewhere like Victoria or the southern interior BC (i.e. Penticton, Osoyoos). These locations offer great climates with a slower pace, and far fewer "city" problems. The cost of living is also more moderate.

I have heard about how expensive things are out that way and the housing shortages, etc. I am thinking of maybe buying an investment condo in the area, perhaps even sight unseen, but am a bit concerned about the horror stories of hidden rain damage in many condo buildings because of poor building construction practices and/or lack of good building codes. By the way, hope I'm not stealin' anyone's thread.
