Compression Rod Bushing Torn
As some of you may know someone hit my car while it was parked 2 weeks ago. I got the car back from the body shop and everything looks good as new, with the exception of some blemished in paint which will be taken care of next week.
I took my car in for alignment yesterday and they were not able to get my front left camber back to what it was before. The camber is in spec though. While trying to figue out why they could not get more positive camber they noticed that the left and right compression rod bushing were torn.
Do you think this was a result of the accident? Do you think other things could have been damage and thats why they were not able to get my camber back to what it was prior to the accident?
As you can see from the pic below, may car was moved pretty far.

Are you talking about your steering rack boots? They are the only "boots" that I know of in that area of the car. They kind of look like an accordian and can move back and forth. Can you be more specific?
The compression rod connects the lower part of the axle assembly to the frame (front suspension member). There may be bushings in the frame, is that what you are talking about?
