Top Secret bumper install but not wheels need help
Top Secret bumper install and wheels
Guys went to my mechanic and he installed my bumper looks perfect you guys can be the judge of it in our next meet.
Problem, my mechanic said i new new lugs because of my rims. He suggest the McGuard ones but I don't know the size of our nuts and he mention the cone shape ones. Which do I need if anyone can help.
Thanks

i'm assuming it's going to be the same as the 350Z, the specs should be 12x1.25

rays are too big? They're skinnier than my OEM lugs....weird.
i thought the problem was that you needed tuner lugs so that they make the correct contact with the rim socket. That's what the cone shape comment suggested to me.

Doesn't your mechanic have a "slim profile" socket? If he uses a regular socket, it probably will scratch the wheel holes as it's too big.
I use the RAYS lug nuts too and I bought a Craftsman slim profile socket & torque wrench at Sears, coz I change my own wheels in my driveway.
The tuner style lug nuts are also an alternate, as a "key" inserts into the lug nut to turn them from the inside, and therefore preventing scratches around the wheel holes.

I agree on the cone shape comment.
Is he not speaking about the OE nuts when he is referring to the Rays (19" OE)?

Eric, did you figure out your lug nut issue?

Well i think I know what my mechanic means now. He did not want to use the original nuts from oem weels because 1 they are not tuner style. So i will go look for some nuts. Any recomendations?
