Drilled and Slotted upgrade rotors for the Infiniti G35 and Nissan 350 Z.

I had an appointment today at Agincourt Infiniti to have my winter performance rim and tires removed and my summer performance rims and tires installed. To my surprise as I was waiting, I noticed a drilled and slotted rotor on the display wall. I enquired about the rotors and found out the following from Steve Romanko, the parts representative that I always deal with. The rotors are Australian made and can be purchased drilled or drilled and slotted. The rotors are sold as upgrades to the current rotors on the 05 and 06 G35 saloon and coupe’ and will not affect your warranty. The company also makes a rotor that is compatible with the Brembo calipers on the 03/04 coupe'.
The cost of the rotors are as follows:
• Drilled front & rear are $193.99 x 2
• Drilled and Slotted front & rear are $220.99 x 2
• The rotors are manufactured by DBA (Disc Brake Australia)

The cost of a full set of drilled and slotted rotors would be $503.86 not including installation. The size of the rotors are 12.9" front and 12.6" rear, the exact factory specifications for rotors on the 05/06 saloon and coupe with sports packages.
I have attached a picture that was taken with my mobile phone and not my digital SLR so pardon the low resolution.

I am using them on my 03' sedan. They have been on since last October with a set of Hawk HPS' . So far so good. I haven't really tried them out too aggressively since the weather has been so iffy during the winter months but as of right now I like them very much.

35bills, did you get them from a dealer or from another retailer?

If you don't mind me asking, how much were they?

I got them through Simone Performance(www.simoneperformance.com).

You will have to wait until I get home to give you a price...

so if my stock ones go and can't get machined, what's my best choice as a canadian? buy from the US and get taxed on shipping or from dealership.. i got brembo brake pads but guess would need new rotors

I was going to go for the same combo, DBA xdrilled/slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads but the dealer quoted the parts for a lot more than outside vendors. I ended up going with Rotora slotted rotors all round and Hawk HPS pads for a total of about $715 canadian after taxes. Haven't put them on yet but I can take pictures of the rotors if anyone wants to see how they look.

35bills if you have a chance can you take and post a few pictures that show what the drilled and slotted DBA rotors look like once installed. You may not recall but we met at the VIP unveiling of the 07 G35 saloon at Agincourt Infiniti, did you install your lowering springs and if so is your camber within factory specification?

Hey Jason,

I remember you from the unveiling.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pics to show you. ( the digital camera went with the X girlfriend in January). Maybe at the mini-meet I could have the one of the guys snap a few for me?

I went with the 4000xs series.

I did have the Eibachs installed and an alignment done at Agincourt. They did their best to get me into spec but were slightly out. The tire wear over the winter did not show any signs of inner wear.

I'm doing some further mods to the suspension this spring( Sways).

Bill
